Artist's Loft

New York

When I first entered this loft, all walls and surfaces were painted in combinations of purple and orange. The old floors, with their unique patina, were crying to be seen, and it was clear that my task was to remove all confusion and restore the loft to a space of simplicity and light. I wanted it to be rustic and comfortable, yet elegant and timeless. The unusually long coffee tables were manufactured out of steel and rustic planks, while cotton slipcovers gave new life to vintage pieces. An eclectic combination of chairs found at auction made for an interesting setting around the unusually narrow dining table.
